So the nice people of KXLU were nice/rad/nicer/superrad enough to do a compilation of bands that have played on the station from 2006-2009 and also nice enough to feature a live set, an excerpt if you will, called "Waxed Hill".
The compilation also features lots of great music and we have about 20 copies, so if you want one we'll be selling them for $5.00 + s/h

I recently discovered a new hip hop station that specifically plays old hip hop songs!
Anywhere from 1980-2000.
Chase and I basically grew up with hip hop and it still has a great influence on us today.
Anyway, if you in Los Angeles or greater theres a station called KDAY.

Hi all!
Just an update on everything:
Were gonna to be doing another run of wwtawwtal on cassette and perhaps on cd-r.
This will be the last of these after this!
But furthermore, we've been working on a bunch of new songs that some of you may have heard in some live sets, were really excited as were gonna put these new jams on 12" vinyl by next spring!
Also, some really rad shows coming in September + October please scope them out!!
And!! On the brink of 2010 we'll do a small trip out to arizona for a few shows with our friends Tan Dollar (please get in touch at wondertropics@gmail.com if you can help us out!) !! Following that we will be doing a full west coast trek next summer in June 10'!!
Anyway, I just wanted to update everyone!

For whatever reason or another the jumpin chupacabra in foothill ranch has run off with their blenders and fruit. Leaving us, Tan Dollar, Magick Ochids and Moon Beast homeless without a show to play now.The event was scheduled for July 13th and we still wanna do this! of their jam "Chicken & Cheese 2". The measure had varied but stayed fairly close to everyone's interpretation.

portland carpet with jason, we played at the wail and it is about 100 feet away from the apartment. jason's roomate was playing street fighter while we (as in me) broke a cork screw. they certainly are not anything like a rubix cube.

For the next couple of months we'll be working on our first batch of songs set for a full length. The plan is to put this on a vinyl..
This is the first time we have ever done this, ever. So its going to be very fun!
Soon we will be recording two new jams we've been sitting on for a little bit for a limited one-sided cassette along with a downloadable file, very very soon!! stay welll

Chase and I arrived in Houston (Central 10am?)..
My eyes were sore and I felt a bit maladjusted.
Not that socializing with others is something I dislike,
in fact I do; very much.
But airports always give me a nervous stomach and send my emotions on haywire.
Anyway, we went to our Gate to wait for our plane to board to Orlando.
At this point my body is drained and all I wanted to do is go to sleep.
In fact I did..put on Feels and knocked out..I awoke to the Office being played
on the screens and to my Mom's smile, so thats always comforting.
We finally reached our destination in Merritt Island.
Its about 40 miles East of Orlando.
Its pretty out there and very desolate, its quite a culture shock.
I suppose if you live here then you dont really know much else.
We arrived to my Grandma's house where my Mom's sister, Barbara, was making some veggie stir fry w/noodle concoction and making some chicken fixins for the rest of the family. We hung out with our Great Grandpa whom recently turned a 100 years old.
Seeing how his daily life goes is very surreal and I feel fortunate to see him alive and well.
We're now in Cocoa Beach? I think? Where Barbara lives, shes cool.
She likes blasting Zeppelin and talking about how she used to be vegetarian back in the 60's. So we have some relation.
Ironically, here computer is ancient and busted, but Chase and I were relieved to see that her internet works and we can regain some sanity.
Were currently listening to Dream Island Laughing Language and its helping my nerves mellow--I suppose this Chamomile tea helps too.

When I first visited Los Angeles; lets see maybe 1996 or 97'? I know my parents had taken me there when I was small, but I dont exactly remember why we were there. I think we went to hollywood and I couldnt get over the fact of how LA seemed so congested and pretentious. Most of the citizens seemed rude and very egocentric. I had always considered Los Angeles as the place I would only visit if I had to; mainly to catch some of my favorite musical acts or particular events that seemed fun.
Up until about 4 or 5 years ago. I started getting very interested in what was going on in the city, like something that wasnt going on anywhere else.
Even more so in the past 2 or 3 years.
I couldnt get over that all the artists in this area seem to be holding hands and just having a goodtime breathing the same air and being near each other and hearing the same stuff and just being.
Furthermore, my state of mind of LA has grown immensely in a positive fashion.
